About Project

General Construction and preconstruction services were provided for this owner to renovate a three-story antebellum home and build a three-story addition for a new Alpha Phi Sorority house in the Milledge Avenue Historic District of Athens, Georgia. The original landmark home, built in the 1860s, required careful rehabilitation and maintained its stately character. Complemented by the addition, the house will serve as a 54-bed Greek life facility with a chapter room that can serve up to 256 members. Preconstruction services included conceptual price modeling and scheduling, coordination with the owners, architects, and consultants, as well as City officials and the Athens Historic Preservation Commission. The project was completed on schedule in 16 months.
