About Project

General Construction and preconstruction services are being provided for this owner to renovate a three-story antebellum home and build a three-story addition for a new Alpha Phi Sorority house in the Milledge Avenue Historic District of Athens, Georgia. The original landmark home, built in the 1860s, will require careful rehabilitation and will maintain its stately character. Complemented by the addition, the house will serve as a 54-bed Greek life facility with a chapter room that can serve up to 256 members. Preconstruction services have included conceptual price modeling and scheduling, coordination with the owners, architects, and consultants, as well as City officials and the Athens Historic Preservation Commission. Construction is scheduled to begin in March 2018.
